Health Research Authority releases bite size e-learning modules for student researchers

The HRA has launched three bite size e-learning modules on conducting research in the NHS aimed at students and their academic supervisors.

The short, free modules focus on the following topics:

  • Sponsors’ and supervisors’ roles in educational research
  • Applying for HRA and HCRW Approval
  • Setting up research sites in England and Wales.

The modules, which are suitable for those who are new to research, take around 5-10 minutes to complete and can accessed on the HRA’s student research web pages.

Jen Harrison, HRA Approval Change Manager, said:

“By improving the information we provide to student researchers, who may be new to research and the processes to follow, we can support them to avoid common errors and navigate the requirements to undertake research in NHS.

“We hope that supervisors will encourage their students to carry out our free eLearning and that students find the bitesize modules and the information on our student research webpage helpful.”
