Apply to have a stand at Research Open Day

We are inviting researchers to apply to have a stand at the UCLH Research Open Day.

The open day, which in previous years has attracted hundreds of visitors from the local community, patient groups and schools, focuses on interactive activities and direct contact between UCLH staff and researchers and the public. The day will include tours and talks for schoolchildren, competitions and a 'best stand' award.

This year the open day, which is on 5 July, falls on the NHS' 70th birthday. The day will celebrate how patient care and research have advanced over the last 70 years and UCLH's contribution to innovation and medical advances.

Stalls will be divided into zones, with each zone highlighting progression in research as well as an historical perspective.Zones are:

  • Patient Care and Hospital Services
  • Cancer research
  • Neurosciences (including dementia, mental health and ENT) research
  • Cardiovascular (including stroke and obesity) research
  • Infection and Immunity (including oral health and ENT) research
  • Imaging and Engineering research
  • Data research

We are hoping to repeat the success of previous years and celebrate with our patients and local communities all the cutting edge research at UCLH and UCL. Ths is a great opportunity for researchers to engage with the public and to cultivate a dialogue with local communities. Researchers applying to have a stall will need to demonstrate how the stall will be exciting, interactive and engaging.

To apply, please complete the Application Form and send to jro.researchopenday@ucl.ac.uk
