BRC joins with Francis Crick Institute to fund PhD fellowships

The BRC is joining forces with the Francis Crick partner institutes CRUK London Research Institute and the MRC National Institute for Medical Research to set up two fellowships.

The joint funding will enable two three-year clinical PhD fellowships for high achieving trainee doctors. The BRC funds will be used to support experimental medicine – such as diagnostics, first into human therapeutics, encompassing imaging, biomarkers, phase 1 & 2 clinical trials and pre-clinical trial work.

The other two UCL Biomedical Research Centres, GOSH/UCL ICH BRC and the Moorfields Eye Hospital/UCL Institute of Ophthalmology NIHR BRC, will also provide funding for an additional two clinical PhD fellowships.

Recruitment will be in 2013 and will be centrally co-ordinated by the Academic Careers Office. More information will be available soon on the Academic Careers Office website. Alternatively, please contact Dr Elena Bedisti at the Academic Careers Office (e.bedisti@ucl.ac.uk).
