Integrated Academic Training (IAT) posts

The UCL/UCLHpartnership has been awarded an unprecedented number of National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) academic training posts for 2013 following the latest allocation of Integrated Academic Training (IAT) posts.

The majority of NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowships (ACFs) and Academic Clinical Lecturers (ACLs) posts work within BRC-supported areas and this latest increase cements the BRC’s status as a leading centre for research training and education.

In addition to the 25 posts allocated by formula, the partnership has been awarded a further 4 NIHR ACFs and 2 NIHR CLs. These will be within the infectious diseases, dementia (old age, neurology or geriatric medicine), otolaryngology and ophthalmology areas.

The latest competition in particular will enable the BRC to bolster its Infection, Immunology and Inflammation Programme and for the first time adds ENT ACFs and ACLs to the range of posts.

Recruitment will open in autumn 2012.
