Andy South

Andy develops open-source software, learning materials and visualisations. Currently he is working to make patient data more useable and understandable using the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM). Andy is co-leading the UCLH contribution an HDRUK Real World Evidence pilot. He is active within open-source and open-science communities including the OHDSI community that manages the OMOP standard.

Previously Andy was awarded Wellcome Trust grants to develop code resources and community to ease mapping health data in Africa and led an effort to improve the availability of African health facility data. He has a varied publication record centred on data and code.
