James Brandreth is a senior software developer on the NIHR NLP at the point of care project, developing NLP software to format clinical data found in clinician's notes.
James studied Engineering where he gained an interest in programming, leading to a Computer Science Master's with a focus on machine learning and NLP. He then had a short stint in the City. Before joining CRIU, he was a research software engineer on machine learning-based forecasting projects at the Warwick Machine Learning Group.
