Jennifer Jiang is a software developer on the NIHR NLP at the point of care project developing natural language processing (NLP) software within electronic health records (EHRs). Prior to joining the CRIU team, she was a data scientist at a fitness app start-up, working in a variety of projects, including analysing biomechanics metrics and training and deploying computer vision models optimised for mobile environments.
Jennifer completed both her BSc in Biomedical Sciences and MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at UCL. During a short project in a computational neuroscience lab, after graduating, she developed a passion for programming and machine learning, which led her to do a second MSc in Computer Science at Imperial College London. Her general areas of interest are NLP, computer vision, and machine learning applied to healthcare settings.
