Richard Clarke

Richard Clarke holds an MEng in Software Engineering. He began his career with database development working in higher education, followed by the steel industry and subsequently healthcare, starting in the private sector for a software supplier. He then gained specific experience in database development and data migration, often within the remit of EPR implementations. From EPR deployments Richard switched focus to Information Services Business Intelligence within NHS Trusts, developing national submissions, audits, and reporting strategies to support operational services.

Within the CRIU Richard was initially involved with the decommissioning of legacy systems following the implementation of Epic, ensuring legacy data remains available for EMAP in the Archive Data Store (ADS). Currently Richard is Head of Data Systems at UCLH, driving adoption of new technologies for both the Trust and Research, supporting new and legacy systems, and leading on process automation.
