BRC seeks investigators to help drive community involvement in UCLH research

The BRC is calling on UCLH researchers to get involved in a new initiative to widen participation in research at UCLH and take research beyond the hospital walls and into the community.

The BRC’s Beyond Research initiative will include talks, workshops and events for the local community in Camden and Islington, and researchers who get involved will have the chance to share their research, gain experience of public speaking and public engagement, and get patient and public input into future research.

Researchers will also have the chance to help develop the initiative, and help tackle a big issue in clinical research nationally – encouraging involvement from groups who are currently under-represented in research.

Research staff who are interested in getting involved in the Beyond Research initiative should contact Angela Wipperman, the BRC’s Public and Patient Involvement Manager, at ppihelpdesk@ucl.ac.uk.
