News for Investigators

The BRC is calling on UCLH researchers to get involved in a new initiative to widen participation in research at UCLH and take research beyond the hospital walls and into the community.
Researchers can now apply to host a stall at UCLH’s massive open day to celebrate research and innovation on Thursday 4 July 2019.
The BRC’s Oral Health and Disease (OH&D) theme is inviting applications for funding to support translational research aligned to the theme’s research strategy, focused on project completion. The OH&D Theme has committed to deliver on four core macro-areas of experimental medicine (see below) as well as to expand the portfolio of experimental studies within the theme.
The UCLH/UCL Joint Research Office has reminded UCLH and UCL investigators of a series of urgent actions they need to take ahead of the launch of UCLH’s Electronic Health Record System – Epic – to ensure research activity isn’t negatively impacted at go-live on 31 March 2019. Principal Investigators on studies need to send their patient lists to uclh.randd@nhs.net by 26 January. Any queries can be sent to Pushpsen.joshi1@nhs.net.
This term’s programme of award-winning workshops on public and patient involvement (PPI) in research is now open for booking.
Researchers applying for funding from 3 BRC themes (Cardiovascular diseases, Inflammation, Immunity and Immunotherapeutics and Healthcare Engineering and Imaging) can now apply for joint funding from the Oral Health and Disease theme.
