The deadline is approaching for applications for multi-user equipment grants and biomedical resource and technology development grants, following strategic investments made in research infrastructure by the School of Life and Medical Sciences (SLMS).

The National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN) is planning changes to its organisational structure, with the Central and East London region (in which UCLH is based) as the pilot region for these changes. In a bid to simplify geographies and enhance the delivery of clinical research in the NHS, 15 Local clinical research networks will be created to cover the whole of England. These networks will be responsible for delivering clinical research studies in their patch, across a full breadth of specialties.
Sir Paul Nurse, Director of the Francis Crick Institute, unveiled the organisation’s strategy today at a ceremony attended by senior government ministers and heads of the institute's founding partners, including UCL's President & Provost Professor Malcolm Grant.
The NIHR seventh annual Senior Investigator competition has opened. Leading researchers funded by the NIHR or the DoH Policy Research Programme can apply and selection is by an international peer-review panel.
Recruitment is underway for a 15-month leadership programme for senior trainees which starts in September.
