BRC opens call for cardiometabolic pump priming funding applications

The NIHR University College London Hospitals BRC Cardiometabolic Programme has announced a new funding call to support research across the UCLH/UCL Cardiometabolic domain.

The BRC Cardiometabolic Pump Priming – Project Grants scheme has been established to support proposals across key strategic areas of importance to the Cardiometabolic Programme.  Researchers are invited to submit applications which aim to develop their research ideas and generate pilot data to facilitate a future application for a substantial grant from external sources.

Funding is limited and will be allocated on an annual basis from the Cardiometabolic Programme budget.

Proposals will be considered to a maximum of £60,000 and as these will be highly competitive awards, only those applications meeting the necessary criteria will be considered. For specific information on the funding scheme, please refer to the BRC Cardiometabolic Pump Priming – Project Guidance.

To submit a proposal, please complete the BRC Cardiometabolic Pump Priming – Project Proforma  and send to Sara Giesz, Cardiometabolic Programme Operations Manager at s.giesz(@)ucl.ac.uk.

Deadline for submission is 5pm, Friday, 11 October, 2013.

For an informal discussion, please contact Sara Giesz at 020 3108 2381 or Prof Derek Yellon, Cardiometabolic Programme Director, at 020 3447 9888.
