Help us get school children excited about research

We are looking for UCLH/UCL researchers to help us get school children excited about clinical research by talking about their research careers as part of our research open day on 23 June.

Year 9 and 10 students (age 13-15) from local schools will be visiting UCLH and we need enthusiastic researchers to talk for approximately 30 minutes on a range of topics including what their research is about and its benefits, what a normal working day is for a researcher, what university degree they have, their motivations and what the biggest challenges have been. There will also be time for questions afterwards from the children.

We welcome help from everyone from PhD student to Professor who is happy to talk about clinical research and the pathways they followed to a career in research.

If you would like to give young people the opportunity to discover more about research contact Ros Yu, Communications & PPI Manager, Rosamund.Yu@ucl.ac.uk
