Functional genomics workshop taking bookings

Researchers are invited to attend the first international Functional Genomics Workshop 6-8 February.

The workshop, which is being held by Guys and St Thomas’ BRC, aims to highlight new advances in understanding the functional impact of genetic variation in immune mediated inflammatory and rheumatic diseases and to provide an experimental framework for investigating the function of allelic variants. The workshop also aims to provide opportunities for investigators and their collaborators to network.

The programme will include two Keynote Lectures, and oral and poster presentations of abstract submissions. Confirmed speakers include Robert Plenge, Rose Zamoyska, Frank Nestlé, Peter Gregersen, Rudi Beyaert, Tim Vyse, Matthew Brown, Christopher Denton amd Frances Williams.

More details can be found on Guys and St Thomas’ BRC website.

Deadline for abstract submission is 4 January 2013.  Please submit forms to:

Registration will continue up until the event itself. To discuss registration options, contact Nivetha Tarcisius (nivetha.tarcisius@gstt.nhs.uk) for further details.
