The online sessions are for anyone who is:
- Considering taking their first steps into clinical research
- Just started in carrying out clinical research
- Already established in clinical research but looking for training opportunities to refresh their skills and knowledge
Sessions will cover a range of topics including:
- How to get a study up and running
- Information governance and data security in research
- How to move into research nursing or nursing research
- Getting to grips with statistics in research
- Preparing for research inspections
The Research Directorate will also be running drop-in sessions where existing researchers can get one-to-one guidance on different areas of research management.

The introduction of this training is a follow-on from a campaign ran last year to encourage more staff to consider doing research.
