The Clinical and Research Informatics Unit (CRIU) consists of a team of clinicians, patients, AI researchers, software developers, data scientists and business intelligence analysts working together to develop a robust environment, infrastructure and governance for the analysis of clinical data, development and safe deployment of interventions within UCLH.
CRIU has provided support for a range of innovations, including Cogstack; clinical text analytics and natural language processing, an mHealth/wearables platform, and the UCLH Experimental Medicine Application Platform (EMAP), which allows cutting-edge data science tools and real-time AI to be easily and safely developed within UCLH.
